I was looking for a nice accommodation in the Swedish wilderness and came across Camp Ängra. On arrivaI I immediately felt very welcome. Although the tourist season was already ended and there were no more activities organised, the owners offered me a stay in the cabin on the lake. Wildlife viewing was limited to daylight hours, but I was able to spot some wolverine. Nighttime offered me a spectacular view on the starlight sky which I enjoyed very much. I even was so lucky to see the northern lights! The accommodation is in a remote wilderness area, so it was good to be able to have dinner and breakfast in the restaurant, which was very good. I will come back to this place for sure!
The hosts were extremely kind, welcoming and hard working. We had some very nice discussions with them. Our room was very nice and very well decorated, especially the simple bathroom. The food in the restaurant was top class. We will definitely return and stay more than just the one night.
Upon arrival you already get the “wow” feeling.
Such a beautiful spot, along a river. We had a nice beer, checked in we had the luxury double room.
Totally top, just renovated. Marco is a top host / gentleman. We had a delicious meal.
The prices are fine for Swedish standards. Highly recommended.
We were passing through and found this by accident.
Unfortunately there was too little snow for activities but we enjoyed ourselves by driving around to other places.
It feels like you’re out there in a very remote place though it’s just like 200 meters from one of the the main roads thru Hälsingland.
Great and not overpriced dinner prepared and served with care and friendliness. Try the elk casserole! It’s wonderful.
Rooms clean, nice and equiped with coffee brewer.
